Gladiators to Host Annual Enterante Bowl Games at La Cañada High

The La Cañada Gladiators will host post season bowl games at St. Francis High in La Cañada Flintridge on Dec. 4 as part of the second annual Lou Enterante Bowl Game activities. Among the teams that will participate are the Azusa Raiders.

The games will be held in honor of past Gladiators President Lou Enterante who passed away three years ago after a long battle with leukemia. Lou left behind his wife Debbie and three children. “All of us wanted to do something to remember and honor Lou”, said Gladiator President Kevin Lacey. “He was a great man and a real asset to his church, the Gladiators and his community.”

The proceeds from the bowl game will be placed in the Lou Enterante Memorial Scholarship Fund. “The purpose of the fund”, added Lacey, “is to provide a Gladiator player with financial assistance to attend St. Francis High School.” Last year, following the first bowl game, the Gladiators helped scholarship two players who are now attending St. Francis.

“We really want to keep this fund going and growing”, said Lacey. “The Gladiator organization is much more than football. It’s about building character. And we know of no better way to do this than to help those kids who need a little financial support to attend a great school like St. Francis.”

Anyone interested in making a donation to the fund should contact President Kevin Lacey at 291-9858, or mail the donation to the “Lou Enterante Memorial Scholarship Fund”, 315 W. Arden Avenue, Suite 11, Glendale 91203.
