St. Francis High School will host an open house for prospective students on Saturday, Jan. 7, from 1 to 4 p.m. on the campus, 200 Foothill Blvd, La Cañada.
Campus tours will be offered and displays from the school's extracurricular and athletic programs will be available in the Fr. Alphonsus Memorial Gymnasium throughout the afternoon.
In addition, the open house will feature mini-workshops for small groups of parents and students in order to help communicate information regarding curriculum, methodology and philosophy to all in attendance.
Among the workshops planned for that afternoon are Preparation for the Entrance Examination, A Parent's Perspective, A Transition to High School, The Honors Curriculum, as well as a teaching demonstration from each academic department and fine arts program at the school.
St. Francis is a Catholic, college preparatory school for boys in grades 9 through 12.
In addition to its strong curriculum, the school offers a campus ministry program, offerings in the fine arts and a competitive athletic program.
