Sermon on ‘New Beginnings’ Set

“New Beginnings” will be the sermon topic of Rev. Bonnie Rowsell on Jan. 1 at 10 a.m. worship service at Glendale Church of Religious Science, 2146 E. Chevy Chase Drive, Glendale.

There will be a 15-minute meditation at 9:30 a.m. Children’s Church is held at 10 a.m., and child care is available.

The church will host a Burning Bowl ceremony during the 10 a.m. service. During ancient days on the last day of the year, people released everything they didn’t want in order to make room for what they did want to experience in the new year. For more information, call the church at 244-8171.
