Share

On Feb. 11, Temple Sinai of Glendale will recognize Susan and Phillip Hain as this year’s Couple of Valor with a dinner and reception in their honor.

The Hains and their son, Andrew, have been Temple Sinai members for eight years.

Active in all facets of temple life, Susan serves on the Sisterhood Board, the Education Governing Board and the Adult Education Committee.

Born in Montreal and raised in Huntington Beach, Susan has a background in accounting and banking and is currently a freelance bookkeeper for several clients, including a grateful Temple Sinai.

An advertising and marketing professional, Southern California native Phillip sits on the board of directors and on the Sisterhood Board as coordinator of the popular monthly Shabbat dinners.

He is also the lead editor of The Scribe, the Temple Sinai’s acclaimed newsletter.

Andrew, 14, was called to the Torah at a Bar Mitzvah last October.

The Temple Sinai Family offers mazel tov, or “congratulations,” to the Hains on their well-deserved tribute.

Donations on their behalf may be made to the Temple Sinai Campership Program, which offers financial assistance to the families of children who might be otherwise unable to have a summer camp experience. For more information, call 246-8101.
