Junior Baseball Scores in Playoffs

The girls’ divisions of the La Cañada Junior Baseball and Softball Association came to a close last weekend with their final playoff games.

Every team enjoyed their last pitches of the season, while the Lucky Charms, Pacific West Storm, and Goldberg were named champions in the Junior, Senior, and Super Senior divisions.

Most of the boy’s division continue play into next week, with only a few teams left in playoff contention.

The Giants dominated the Pinto division with their championship win over the Dodgers.

In Mustang-9, the Yankees have made it to the final round, facing the winner of the semifinal game to determine the championship. The game will be held at La Cañada Elementary at 5:15 p.m. this evening.

The Mustang-10 division still has the Cardinals in the running, facing a semifinal winner in the final game at Palm Crest on June 12 at 5:15 p.m.

The Yankees are also in top in the Bronco division, having narrowly beat the Cubs in the last round. The winner of the Marlins/Braves game will face the Yanks on June 11 at 5 p.m. at Cornishon field.

The Dodgers have dominated the Babe Ruth division and will play the other semifinalist on June 11 at 6:30 p.m. on the varsity field.
