CLASSES

Teen training program—Tuesdays and Thursdays. Verdugo Hills Hospital’s Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation will be offering teen training classes for boys and girls between the ages of 11 and 18 to help teens increase their core strength and improve their flexibility. The classes will be held at the hospital on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. for 11- to 14-year-olds, and from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. for 14- to 18-year-olds. A free optional screening will be held on Tuesday, July 6 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. VHH is located at 1812 Verdugo Blvd., Glendale, 91208. Class fee is $12 per session or $100 for 10 sessions. Pasadena Women’s ConnectionJuly 14, at 11:30 a.m. “Back to the Kitchen” will be featured at the luncheon and program at Brookside Country Club, 1133 N. Rosemont, Pasadena. Head chef Gwen Kenneally, a caterer and party planner, will show how you can be your own personal chef and share her fabulous recipes. Tea and Tunes with Ian WhitcombJuly 8, at 2 p.m. Tea and Tunes with Ian Whitcomb explores the music of the late 1800s to the 1930s as part of the series “Eva’s Salons” presented by Pasadena Museum of History to offer a closer look at the social and cultural worlds of Victorian and Edwardian eras in the Pasadena area.
