Robert Georgeon

Robert Marcel Georgeon died Sunday at the age of 87, following a brief illness.

He was born in Royan, France, on March 9, 1923. In 1949 he and his first wife, Giesele, moved to Australia. In 1960 the couple moved their family to the United States, where he became a citizen. He was an active member of the Angeles Chapter of the Sierra Club.

He is survived by his second wife, Elizabeth Georgeon, by daughters Michele Georgeon and Patti Baron, grandchildren Allyson and Gabriel Valfré, son-in-law Richard Baron and sister Giselle Christmann. He also leaves stepchildren Andrew Calciano, Graham Calciano and Elizabeth Fagan, along with their spouses and children.

Services will be held at noon Friday at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 6300 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Angeles Chapter of the Sierra Club, 3435 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 320, Los Angeles 90010 or online at angeles.sierraclub.org.
