Sheriff’s declare March ‘Safe Community Month’

Deputies with the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station will be visiting local schools throughout March as part of a month-long menu of ‘Safe Community Month’ activities.

Planned events include anti-drug and personal safety presentations at local elementary schools, a Community Read-In event on March 1 at La Cañada Elementary School, and a March 7 school-wide assembly about cyber-bullying prevention, which will be held at La Cañada High School.

Residents are also invited to learn basic first aid on March 12 at the station, located at 4554 Briggs Ave. in La Crescenta.
