Del Guercio, others honored by mentoring group

La Cañada Flintridge Mayor Pro Tem Steve Del Guercio will be among those honored when Mentoring & Partnership for Youth Development holds its annual awards dinner Saturday at Brookside Golf Course.

The organization is recognizing: Del Guercio, of the firm Demetriou, Del Guercio, Springer & Francis, LLP Attorneys at Law; Sam Kantar, district manager, McDonald’s; Lisa Wilson, program director of Flintridge Foundation; and the Pasadena Unified School District for their efforts toward providing mentorship to young males attending John Muir High School.

Assemblyman Anthony Portantino (D-La Cañada Flintridge) has been named honorary chairman of the event, according to Tecumseh Shackelford, chairman of the host organization.
