Four La Cañada Flintridge teens were arrested last week on charges of vandalism and trespassing at the L.A. County Flood Control debris basin near El Vago Street and Donna Maria Lane.

Deputies responding to a trespassing call at 6 p.m. on June 14 found Dylan Brown, Lucas Connelly, Christian Renfro and Alexander Benshion — each of them 18 and a La Cañada resident — tagging the concrete walls of the basin with spray paint, said Sgt. Ray Harley of the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station.

Damages were estimated at $1,000, and all were released on June 15 after posting bond, said Harley.

Connelly, Renfro and Benshion graduated June 16 from La Cañada High School.

Renfro, a standout member of the LCHS swim team this year who plans to attend Brown University, was additionally charged with possession of less than 1 oz. of marijuana.

Brown, Benshion and Renfro posted $10,000 bond.

Connelly was also charged with possession of a counterfeit California driver’s license, which raised his bail to $20,000, Harley said.
