Area 1: 2600 block of Foothill Boulevard: Two men left a Ralphs grocery store just after 6 p.m. on July 3 without paying for 10 cases of Red Bull energy drink and a case of bottled water. A clerk followed the men, described as white males about 30 years old, and saw them leave the parking lot in a black Scion. The loss was valued at $206.89. Then around noon on July 5, a clerk phoned deputies to report someone had once again left the store without paying for Red Bull and also left in a black Scion. This time, store security cameras captured video images of the suspect, described as a white male about six feet tall and 175 pounds between 30 and 39 years old. Four cases of the drink were stolen the second time, a loss of $89.56.

Area 2

Angeles Crest Highway at Bay Tree Road: Robert Howard Rix, 56, of La Cañada Flintridge, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol at 6 p.m. on June 27. When asked how long it had been since he was last arrested for driving under the influence, Rix said, “five miles.”

Area 3

600 block of Foothill Boulevard: Five stained-glass window panes were vandalized sometime between noon on July 3 and noon on July 5 at the Church of Christ Scientist. Damage, including holes and cracks in the glass, was estimated at $800.

Oakwood Avenue at Foothill Boulevard: Two catalytic converters were stolen from a 2006 Toyota Sequoia while the vehicle was parked on Oakwood Avenue between 1 and 3:30 p.m. on June 28. The value of the stolen parts was estimated at $3,000.
