Area 1: 1900 block of Verdugo Boulevard: A vehicle purchase contract was stolen out of a locked 2012 Lexus RX350’s center console sometime between 7 p.m. and 11:40 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 26. There was no sign of forced entry to the vehicle, and no other property reported missing.

400 block of Sunset Avenue: An iPod Touch, valued at $220, was stolen out of an unlocked car while it was parked in its owner’s driveway sometime between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 25.

Area 2

4400 block of Ocean View Boulevard: An unlocked 2005 Chevy Tahoe was stolen while parked on Ocean View Boulevard sometime between 9 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22 and 6:40 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 23.

5100 block of Haskell Street: Two laptop computers, various new plumbing fixtures and $420 worth of boxed chocolates were stolen out of a locked car after its rear window was smashed sometime between 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 21, and 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22. The car was parked in its owner’s driveway. The total value of the stolen items was given as $3,320.

5200 block of Alta Canyada Road: A home was burglarized sometime between 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 21. The suspect or suspects appeared to have entered the home by forcing open the locked bathroom window. Once inside, they ransacked the house, opening Christmas presents, and leaving a chicken breast in the master bedroom and slices of bacon on the floor in the children’s bedroom. A MacBook Pro laptop was reported stolen, but other items likely were stolen as well, according to the report.

4800 block of Carmel Road: A Honda professional lawn mower valued at $1,200 was stolen from a Toyota Tacoma truck sometime between 10:20 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 21. The victim told deputies that he had left his truck parked on the street while he entered the rear yard of a home and upon returning, found the lawn mower gone. A thick metal chain used to secure the mower had been cut.

Area 3

500 block of Foothill Boulevard: A transient was arrested for stealing bottles of Grey Goose vodka valued at $325 from the Ralphs on Foothill Boulevard at 10:48 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 21. The man was spotted running out of the store. He later was found after attempting to hide in a woman’s backyard. Security camera footage confirmed that the man was the one who stole the vodka bottles.
