Four years after the bank opened a branch on Rinetti Lane in La Cañada Flintridge, Gilmore Bank is moving to Foothill Boulevard. The move, which has been in the works since June of last year, will be completed on Tuesday, Feb. 21, when the new branch at 964 Foothill Blvd. will open at 9 a.m. The new branch will host a grand opening on March 22.
The bank’s Rinetti Lane location will close at noon on Friday, Feb. 17. The new branch, which fills the space formerly occupied by the Flintridge Bookstore, is a 3,400-square-foot facility that will offer greater visibility in the community, said branch manager Rolando Morales in news release from the bank this week.
“Being on Foothill Boulevard will be huge for us,” stated Morales. “Our increased visibility of the point where Angeles Crest Highway intersects Foothill Boulevard will certainly boost Gilmore’s brand recognition in La Cañada.
Doug Spencer, president and chief executive of Gilmore Bank, told the Valley Sun in October that the company was looking forward to having a more prominent location for its La Cañada branch.
“Well, we’ve been there in the current location for a couple years and so we wanted to see how it did, and we’re thrilled with the community,” said Spencer. “We believe that [the new location] will add a substantial amount of deposits to our footprint."
