La Cañada Flintridge crime blotter: Teens arrested for driving under influence of marijuana

Chevy Chase Drive and Highland Avenue: Drug possession, 8 p.m. One teenage girl arrested for driving under the influence of marijuana, another for marijuana possession. The driver was pulled over in a silver BMW after almost hitting a parked patrol unit while running a stop sign. Three containers of marijuana were found in the car.

April 14

5500 block of Alta Canyada Road: Auto burglary, after 10 p.m. An airless paint-spraying machine, worth $1,000, was stolen from a Toyota Tacoma. A harness used to secure the machine was cut.

April 13

300 block of Starlight Crest Drive: Burglary, 11:34 a.m. Sliding glass door smashed, decorative plate and a table decoration stolen from a residence.

4400 block of La Granada Way: Burglary, after 8 a.m. Kitchen door pried open, stolen items include gold-and-diamond Rolex watch, diamond ring, diamond tennis bracelet, pearl and gold earrings, Cartier watch, Louis Vuitton purse and an iPad 2.

April 10

4900 block of Indianola Way: Burglary, 6 p.m. or earlier. Mail stolen from a mailbox while homeowner was on vacation. The victim was contacted by someone who had found his mail around Hampton Road.

2700 block of Orange Avenue: Auto burglary, before 8:30 a.m. Rear car window smashed, a makeup case and duffel bag containing MAC brand cosmetics valued at $2,350 were stolen.

April 12

2600 block of Seapine Lane: Theft, before 12:30 p.m. A mountain bike worth $600 was stolen from an open garage.
