Rio Hondo Prep 9, Flintridge Prep 8 (nine innings): The Rebels were eliminated from playoff contention with Friday’s Prep League loss at the Glendale Sports Complex.

Karlsen Termini pitched seven innings for Prep (6-15, 3-8), allowing three earned runs and striking out seven.

He was backed by a big day from Alex Sierra, who went four for four with two doubles, a triple, two runs batted in and three runs scored.

Harvard-Westlake 7, St. Francis 2: The Golden Knights dropped their 10th consecutive contest, this time falling on the road Friday afternoon in Mission League play.

La Cañada 5, San Marino 3: The Spartans held off another late Titans rally at home Thursday for a two-run win after San Marino scored twice in the top of the seventh.

La Cañada’s five-run third was enough for the victory, as the Spartans improved to 10-12, 2-8 in league after a 1-0 loss on the road to Temple City Wednesday.

BOYS’ GOLF

Prep League Individual Tournament: Jack Bouchard of Flintridge Prep finished second for the third season in a row at the event. Bouchard, a junior, carded a one-under-par 70 on Thursday at Brookside Golf Course No. 1 in Pasadena and finished with a two-round score of 146. Bouchard will next compete in the CIF Southern Section Individual Tournament, which will be held May 14 at Las Posas Country Club in Camarillo.

“He’s proven to be a good player and he had two solid rounds,” Flintridge Prep Coach Bob Loughrie said. “He’s an excellent player.”

The top nine advanced to the postseason.

St. Francis finished sixth in the league final Monday in Lakewood.
