Crime Blotter: Resident says car was vandalized with animal feces

Dec. 18 to Jan. 2

Vandalism: 4130 block of Oakwood Ave., between 11 p.m. on Dec. 18 and 7 a.m. on Dec. 19. A 2001 Honda was smeared with animal feces. A similar incident occurred on Dec. 27, this time involving human feces. Owner washed the waste off vehicle. On the morning of Jan. 2, the same resident found shattered pumpkins in the front yard.

Nov. 27 to Jan. 2

Grand theft: 5200 block of Crown Ave. Between 3 p.m. Nov. 27 and 8 a.m. on Jan. 2. Resident reported a black rifle, sterling silver necklace and a sterling silver ring with zircon stones missing from her home. The woman last saw her jewelry on Nov. 27. She thought it was misplaced, but on Jan. 2 also noticed her husband’s rifle missing .

Jan. 3

Petty theft: 800 block of Foothill Blvd., between 1 and 5 p.m. Employee of Adobe Boutique noticed $400 missing at the end of the day. Earlier in the day, a man who was about 5’7” and in his 40s asked the employee to wrap a serving plate for him. She went to the back of the store to wrap it. He said he would be returning after going outside for a cigarette, but did not return.

Dec. 27

Petty theft: 1000 block of Olive Lane., between 3 and 4 p.m. UPS package stolen from front porch containing 3D white strips and LED string lights. Items were returned to a Pasadena Target store and the suspect received store credit.

Jan. 4

Burglary: 1919 Verdugo Blvd. between 7 and 9:45 p.m. Both side view mirrors on car were stolen while victim was in the theater watching a movie. The car’s interior side-door panels were also damaged.

Burglary: 1900 block of Verdugo Blvd. 7 and 9:45 p.m. In a related incident, both side view mirrors were stolen from a local resident’s vehicle. The car also sustained interior side-door panel damage.

Jan. 4

Grand theft: 3000 block of Evelyn St., between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. An aluminum vehicle ramp was stolen from a backyard.
