A stolen SUV was found over the side of the Angeles Crest Highway near La Cañada Flintridge Monday morning, authorities said.

The abandoned gray Yukon was found near mile marker 31 at about 11:48 a.m. Monday, said Lt. Angela Shepherd of the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station.

Montrose Search and Rescue deputies, the California Highway Patrol and the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the scene, but no individuals were found, said Shepherd.

The car was reported stolen on Sunday from the city of Los Angeles, near Topanga Canyon, according to Lt. Brian Fitch of the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“It appears to be nothing more than a stolen car dumped over the side,” he said.
