A new coat for T.J.Maxx building

Workers are busy sealing up a building in a shopping center on Foothill Boulevard ahead of the winter season.

Concrete was removed around the T.J.Maxx building on Oakwood Avenue near Foothill Boulevard this week and a waterproof lining was placed around the bottom of the building. The construction work is being done by A. J. Padelford & Son, Inc.

Fred Buss, a senior planner at the city, said repairs are being made to the building.

“This has been an ongoing issue with that particular building,” he said. “They’ve had water damage to that building in the past.”

Construction is expected to be completed in three weeks, according to the company.
