La Cañada to pinpoint senior, low-income housing locations

Share

La Cañada Flintridge will identify possible locations for senior and low-to-moderate-income housing at a public workshop next week.

The city is updating its housing element as part of a state law. The city isn’t required to build affordable housing units, but officials must identify these locations for developers and property owners, said Director of Community Development Robert Stanley.

The meeting begins at 6 p.m. on Oct. 30 in the City Council Chambers on 1327 Foothill Blvd and includes presentations on the state requirements and city demographics. Residents will have the opportunity to provide input and discuss the plan.

For more information, contact the city’s planning department at (818) 790-8881.
