Whitworth University President Beck A. Taylor, Ph.D., will be preaching at all three services (7:55, 9:25 and 11:00 a.m.) on Sunday, Jan. 22 at La Cañada Presbyterian Church, 626 Foothill Blvd.

Located in Spokane, Wash., Whitworth offers 60 undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Taylor arrived at Whitworth after serving as dean and professor of economics for the Brock School of Business at Samford University in Birmingham, Ala.

“I’m very excited to come and spend time with our good friends at La Cañada Presbyterian. For years, Whitworth and La Cañada have had a special and formative relationship. Many of Whitworth’s students and trustees have come from this special congregation, and Whitworth is better equipped to do the work of Christ through higher education because of its faithful ministry,” said Taylor.
