Let council members crank the generator

Share

Can’t believe how timely your article in today’s paper is at my house [“Still feeling powerless,” Piece of Mind column, Feb. 2]. I’m a 25-year resident of La Cañada. On Jan. 31 I was complaining to my golfing buddies about the horrible electricity service I get and I was still cold from the outage during the night.

If the population in La Cañada wasn’t so old and disinterested, there’d be a population explosion every four months or so. It seems that’s how often we lose electricity.

There must be some alternative action we can do to achieve satisfactory service, rather then just bemoaning our plight. I live up by the La Cañada Flintridge Country Club and it seems to affect my side of the city the most. Perhaps our erstwhile city council can take turns cranking the generator.

Let us know if there’s something to be done.
