Sacred Heart's doubles drop Chaminade


Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy 12, Chaminade 6: The host Tologs swept all nine doubles sets Tuesday in a Mission League match at Fremont Tennis Center. Elizabeth Williamson and Victoria McGregor won, 6-2, 6-3, 6-1 for the Tologs, who improved to 3-5, 2-4 in league. Flintridge Sacred Heart also received a 6-2, 6-2, 6-1 win from Diane Gutierrez and Lara Sarkisian and a 7-5, 6-3, 6-1 victory from Julia Byrne and Katie Altman. Emily Katz swept her singles sets, 6-0, 6-4, 6-0.


Flintridge Prep 13, Milken Community 7: Diego Delgado collected three goals Tuesday to propel host Flintridge Prep in a Prep League contest. Ethan Vandeventer, Alex Blaine and Kellan Rohde each had two goals for Flintridge Prep (12-8, 3-3 in league).


Webb 3, Flintridge Prep 0: Julia Miller and Kate Woolley each had seven kills Tuesday for the host Rebels, who fell, 25-16, 25-14, 25-15, in a Prep League match. Flintridge Prep dropped to 4-10, 1-7 in league.

Chaminade 3, Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy 2: The host Tologs were handed a Mission League defeat Tuesday. Flintridge Sacred Heart fell to 4-9, 1-4 in league.


La Cañada in Pacific League prelims: The Spartans finished third in the league prelims Tuesday at Brookside Golf Course No. 1 in Pasadena. The Spartans carded a 235, but finished fourth overall and will not advance to the postseason.

Melissa Leo carded a six-over-par 81 for the Spartans, who received an 88 from Jennifer Kim. Leo and Lee shot a 36 and 46, respectively, on the front nine. The front nine scores counted toward Tuesday's team score.

Leo and Kim are currently sixth and 10th in the individual league standings heading into Thursday's league individual finals.
