All-Area Girls’ Golf First Team

Joany Gao, Sophomore, Burroughs

Posted a two-round score of 276 to finish fifth at the Pacific League individual after helping the Indians place third in league and then tied for 11th at the CIF Southern Section Central Team Divisional. Reached the CIF Southern Section Northern Individual Regionals and was the first alternate in the hopes of moving on.

Tiffany Gu, Senior, San Marino

Proved to be the backbone once again for the Titans, taking sixth in the Pacific League Individual with a two-round score of 279. Tied for 45th at CIF Southern Section Northern Individual Regionals and reached the CIF Southern Section Individual Final Championships.

Melissa Leo,Sophomore, La Cañada

Secured her second straight All-Area accolade after finishing third in the Pacific League individual with a two-round tally of 272. Qualified for the CIF Southern Section Northern Individual Regionals.

Ravipa Losakul, Senior, Burroughs

Earned her fourth All-Area honor after placing fourth in Pacific League individual with a two-round score of 276. Competed in the CIF Southern Section Northern Individual Regionals.

Katie Rosenberg, Freshman, South Pasadena

Adapted well to the high school level, as she shared the Montview League individual title and helped the Tigers win the league crown en route to being named the league’s co-most valuable player. Advanced to the CIF Southern Section Individual Final Championships.

COACH OF THE YEAR

Lee Pope, Crescenta Valley

In his second year and with virtually a new lineup, led Falcons to a second-place finish in tough Pacific League. Crescenta Valley finished 17-8, 13-7 in league and took sixth at the CIF Southern Section Central Team Divisional.
