The junior will also participate in the 3,200 (second, 11:26.67) alongside Meghan Fuelling (third, 11:56.83).

Rio Hondo Prep 9, Flintridge Prep 8 (nine innings): The Rebels were eliminated from playoff contention with Friday’s Prep League loss at the Glendale Sports Complex.

He was backed by a big day from Alex Sierra, who went four for four with two doubles, a triple, two runs batted in and three runs scored.

Harvard-Westlake 7, St. Francis 2: The Golden Knights dropped their 10th consecutive contest, this time falling on the road Friday afternoon in Mission League play.

Junior outfielder Cole Ramseyer finished three for three for St. Francis (7-19, 2-8) with a double, a RBI and a run scored. Ramseyer was driven in by P.J. Dezotell on a bunt single as the Golden Knights only trailed 3-2 heading into the fifth.

La Cañada 5, San Marino 3: The Spartans held off another late Titans rally at home Thursday for a two-run win after San Marino scored twice in the top of the seventh.

La Cañada’s five-run third was enough for the victory, as the Spartans improved to 10-12, 2-8 in league after a 1-0 loss on the road to Temple City Wednesday.

Prep League Individual Tournament: Jack Bouchard of Flintridge Prep finished second for the third season in a row at the event. Bouchard, a junior, carded a one-under-par 70 on Thursday at Brookside Golf Course No. 1 in Pasadena and finished with a two-round score of 146. Bouchard will next compete in the CIF Southern Section Individual Tournament, which will be held May 14 at Las Posas Country Club in Camarillo.

“He’s proven to be a good player and he had two solid rounds,” Flintridge Prep Coach Bob Loughrie said. “He’s an excellent player.”

Alex Angard of Viewpoint shot a 69 on Thursday and finished with a two-round tally of 140 to repeat as league champion.

St. Francis in Mission League Individual Tournament: Johnny Brandt of St. Francis recorded an even-par 72 in the event Wednesday at Wilson-Harding Golf Course at Griffith Park.

Brandt finished with a two-round score of 150 and missed the final qualifying spot for the CIF Southern Section Individual Tournament by one stroke.

The top nine advanced to the postseason.

St. Francis finished sixth in the league final Monday in Lakewood.

Rio Hondo Prep 9, Flintridge Prep 2: Junior Ashley Kim doubled, tripled and scored a run, but it wasn’t enough for the visiting Rebels in Prep League play Friday afternoon.

Rachel Simon smacked two hits and drove in a run and right fielder Kyla Bradley led a rare double play from the outfield for Flintridge Prep (2-15, 2-8), which trailed, 5-0, after three innings.

Alemany 9, Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy 0: The visiting Tologs fell Thursday in a Mission League game. Flintridge Sacred Heart dropped to 6-13, 1-6 in league.

Mayfield 9, Flintridge Prep 8: Chelsea Johnson nearly led the Rebels to a Prep League victory on the road Wednesday.
