La Cañada in Arcadia Apache Tournament: After winning its opener, La Cañada dropped its next two games to host Arcadia, 1-0, Tuesday and Los Osos, 10-0, Monday. The Spartans were scheduled to wrap up tournament play Wednesday with Diamond Ranch.

The Spartans (6-4) posted an 8-2 win over West Torrance in their opener Saturday. La Cañada’s pitching duo of Alex Bang (three hits, no walks in four innings) and George Steckbeck (one hit, one walk in three innings) allowed only four hits.

Clayton Herrmann went two for four with four runs batted in.
