COACH OF THE YEAR

Louie Bilowitz, La Cañada

Helmed the most successful season in Spartans girls’ soccer history, as the squad advanced to its first-ever CIF Southern Section Division V championship game. La Cañada came up just short, losing, 1-0, in overtime on a penalty kick after a controversial handball call. The CIF title loss was the Spartans’ only defeat of a remarkable season, as they went 9-0-1 in winning the Rio Hondo League title and went a sterling 22-1-1 overall.
