Roundup: La Cañada High girls’ swimming stays on pace for title
GIRLS’ SWIMMING
La Cañada 90, San Marino 78: The Spartans remain on pace to clinch a Rio Hondo League championship with a league road victory on Thursday afternoon.
The girls’ 200-yard medley team led the way with a victory in 1 minute 58.57 seconds.
La Cañada improved to 4-0 with one more meet at Monrovia next week.
BOYS’ SWIMMING
San Marino 92, La Cañada 87: The Spartans’ run of 12 straight Rio Hondo League titles ended Thursday afternoon at San Marino.
The Spartans dropped to 2-2 in league.
Dane Bell paced La Cañada with victories in the 500 freestyle (4:50.91) and the 200 freestyle (1:47.31).
BOYS’ GOLF
Webb 215, Flintridge Prep 224: The host Rebels fell Thursday in a Prep League match at Altadena Golf Course. Jonah Sacks finished with a one-over-par 37 for Flintridge Prep (6-6, 0-6 in league).
Flintridge Prep will next compete in the league prelims Tuesday at Brookside Golf Course in Pasadena.
