Ravens RB Justin Forsett added to Pro Bowl, replacing Texans’ Arian Foster
Ravens running back Justin Forsett has been added to the Pro Bowl roster, the team announced Tuesday.
Forsett, who originally was a Pro Bowl alternate, will replace Houston Texans running back Arian Foster, who won’t play because of injury.
Forsett rushed for a career-high 1,266 yards, which ranked fifth in the NFL, and eight touchdowns. He averaged 5.4 yards per carry.
“Ever since I came into the league, it has been a goal of mine to win a Super Bowl, gain 1,000 yards and make it to the Pro Bowl,” Forsett said. “Hope to check the third one off soon.”
Forsett joins outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil, right guard Marshal Yanda and rookie inside linebacker C.J. Mosley on the Pro Bowl squad.
Other first alternates for the Ravens include fullback Kyle Juszczyk, who could be added to the Pro Bowl if Green Bay Packers fullback John Kuhn makes it to the Super Bowl, along with outside linebacker Terrell Suggs, punter Sam Koch and kick returner Jacoby Jones.
The Ravens coaching staff has accepted an invitation to coach one of the Pro Bowl squads.
