Matt Barnes apparently thinks there’s a double standard in the NBA.

After the league announced Monday that Houston Rockets shooting guard James Harden would be suspended one game without pay for kicking Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James in the groin area during Sunday’s game, Barnes took to Twitter to express his dissatisfaction with what he deemed an insufficient punishment.

Tweeted Barnes: “BY THE WAY I GET FINNED 25k 4 KICKING A GATORADE CUP... LET ME KICK LEBON & THE @NBA WOULD TRY & PUT ME IN JAIL...”

Barnes has been fined $50,000 so far this season. He was fined $25,000 for “inappropriate language” toward a fan during the Clippers’ 120-100 win over the Phoenix Suns on Jan. 25. He was also fined $25,000 on Dec. 13, a day after he kicked a water bottle into the stands and used profane language toward fans during a 104-96 loss to the Washington Wizards.

Barnes, who has a reputation around the league as being a bit hot tempered, said that if he had done what Harden did to the league’s biggest star, he thinks the repercussions would have been much more severe.

“I might have been making my one phone call to you guys right now,” Barnes told reporters before Monday’s 110-105 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, a game he sat out because of a strained right hamstring suffered during Sunday’s game at Chicago.

The Clippers’ starting small forward has taken to Twitter before to vent.

After he received his second $25,000 fine on Jan. 27, Barnes joked that he’s lost so much money that he would soon need to work for Costco.

Wrote Barnes: “I’ve been fined 50k in the last mnth for kicking a “PAPER” Gatorade cup that had alil bit of water in it that didn’t even hit anyone &....

“Responding to an OWNER who cussed at me first.. 50,000 dollars for that?? Come on now!

“I might need to find a second job with all these crazy tecs & fines. I Can see it now LA TIMES.. “Costco worker by day nba player by night”
