AT THE PLATE: Juan Uribe was two for two with a home run and two runs batted in. Alex Guerrero got his first two hits, both bloop singles, the second of which drove in a run. Brendan Harris, formerly of the Angels, singled in the Dodgers’ final run in the eighth inning. Guerrero and Harris are among several candidates at second base.

ON THE MOUND: When Zack Greinke was removed only two batters into the game, he was replaced by Chris Withrow, who was charged with two runs, two hits and three walks over 11/3 innings. The winning pitcher was hard-throwing Pedro Baez, who was a third baseman in the Dodgers system as recently as two seasons ago. Non-roster player Daniel Moskos struck out the side in the sixth inning. The fourth overall pick in the 2007 draft, the 27-year-old Moskos pitched in Taiwan last year.

EXTRA BASES: Catcher A.J. Ellis came down with flu-like symptoms and was sent home. Ellis could play in his first exhibition game as early as Friday.
