Baseball: Nick Lodolo pitches Damien past Upland, 3-0

Nick Lodolo threw a four-hitter to lead Damien past Upland, 3-0, in a Baseline League game on Thursday.

Isaiah Paige went three for three and Connor Bartholomew added two hits.

San Clemente 1-6, Dana Hills 0-4: The Tritons got the doubleheader sweep. In the first game, Hans Crouse of Dana Hills and Andre Pallante of San Clemente each threw shutout ball. Crouse threw eight innings. Pallante threw seven. San Clemente won in the 10th inning. In the second game, Dominic Scarlata had two RBIs.

Vista Murrieta 6, Murrieta Valley 0: Chance Hroch struck out seven and allowed five hits.

North 8, Arlington 6: Tony Bullard and Shane Martinez each contributed three hits. Christian Koss had a home run.

Great Oak 9, Chaparral 3: Worth Planer had a double, triple and two RBIs.

Sierra Canyon 13, Brentwood 0: Jake Patterson and Beau Zacharia each had three hits. Zacharia had three RBIs.

Ventura 7, Santa Barbara 1: Jayden Metz struck out nine and allowed six hits for Ventura.

Einstein 9, Hillcrest 0: Sam Stulman struck out 11 and allowed two hits.

Culver City 6, El Segundo 0: Nolan Martinez had eight strikeouts in five innings.

Banning def. San Pedro, forfeit: With the score 0-0 in the sixth, San Pedro Coach Steve Tedesco was ejected in a dispute over an illegal helmet, resulting in a forfeit win for Banning in the Marine League game. Banning is 6-0 in league.
