Tweet of the Day: “Kobe fans would be rioting by now if he ever absorbed the steady contact allowed in Clippers-Grizzlies tonight.” -- ESPNLandoLakers (ESPN Los Angeles’ Andy Kamenetzky)

Rick Friedman Reader Comment of the Day: “There have been plenty of players in these last 5 years that have emulated Kobe’s drive and work ethic. It’s partly the reason why he’s more amicable towards his teammates because he thinks they’re exhibiting his kind of personality. When Bynum went down for one game this season, Kobe even went so far as to extend his perspective. He said that that was what he wanted the team’s identity to be outside of X-O’s, a team who plays through injury. Well apart from Bynum, Gasol, Barnes, Metta and of late Sessions (if his teardrop were any indication, I swear he didn’t have that coming in) expect greatness from themselves and work hard to achieve it. Difference being Bynum can reach farther than most and it’s only recently with good health has he shown the fruits of that drive.” -- FaithdaLakerfan
