Galaxy Web series ‘Be A Pro’ gives look at life as a pro soccer star

To some, being a pro soccer player doesn’t look like the most strenuous job in the world. You run a little, kick the ball, walk around and wait for the ball to come back to you, run and kick it again. If that’s your take on soccer, then you’ll want to watch a new series that will change your mind.

The Galaxy has launched its first-ever original Web series, “Be A Pro,” which it hopes will help change the culture around fitness, nutrition and soccer. You can view the series on the Galaxy website or the Galaxy Facebook page.

“Be A Pro” is a documentary-style series featuring a behind-the-scenes look at the lives and careers of some of the Galaxy players.

Directed by independent filmmaker Brandon Vedder (“Pearl Jam: Live at The Garden”), “Be A Pro” features eight episodes that explores what it takes to be a professional soccer player through the eyes of Galaxy players including Omar Gonzalez, Marcelo Sarvas and Jaime Penedo.

“Together with Herbalife, we created ‘Be A Pro’ to tell engaging stories and provide an in-depth look at what it takes to be a professional athlete,” said team President Chris Klein.
