Former USC quarterback and current Philadelphia Eagles rookie Matt Barkley married longtime girlfriend Brittany Langdon over the weekend.

Though Trojans fans have gotten to know Barkley pretty well over the last four years (and even more if they followed him during his days as a star QB for Mater Dei), he and Langdon have kept their relationship private.

Well, private is a relative term. Keep in mind that this is 2013, so every now and then Barkley sometimes just can’t seem to help himself from gushing on Twitter. He does seem to save it for special occasions, though, such as graduation day:

And, of course, the big day on Saturday:

Wedding Day! Beyond blessed, thankful and excited to marry the girl of my dreams and my best friend. Praise the Lord! — Matthew Barkley (@MattBarkley) July 6, 2013

Perhaps Langdon did the same, although most of us will never know because her tweets can only be seen by her 183 confirmed followers. We do know that she played soccer four years at Seattle Pacific and four before that at Northwood High in Irvine.

And other than the fact the couple is also said to have spent time visiting orphanages in Nigeria in 2011, we really don’t know much about the two of them together.

It might soon get a bit tougher to maintain that low profile, though, with fourth-round pick Barkley about to become embroiled in what is sure to be a well-watched battle for position on the depth chart against fellow Eagles quarterbacks Michael Vick, Nick Fowles and Dennis Dixon.

But in the meantime, best of luck to the newlyweds.
