Matt Leinart is going back to college to lead the Trojans on Saturday

Matt Leinart, who led USC to two national titles, will return to his glory days on Saturday when he leads the Trojans out of the Coliseum tunnel before they play Notre Dame.

Before the season, the 2004 Heisman Trophy winner acknowledged his fondness for his time at USC by signing on to star in a commercial for Dish Network.

The spot also featured former Tennessee quarterback Heath Shuler and Oklahoma linebacker Brian Bosworth.

Like Leinart, they were college legends who could not repeat their success in the NFL.

All proved they could make -- and take -- a joke.

“It was just a fun spot that I was asked to do, and at this point I just thought it was cool,” Leinart said. “I didn’t think it would get that much airtime and it’s been all over the place.”
