Community: Couple exchanges wedding vows

Burbank residents Marisa L. Gallegos and Alejandro Acosta were married in July at the Castaway restaurant. Archbishop David Leon Cooper, of the Catholic Orthodox church, officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Janet M. Gallegos of Burbank and the late Javier Gallegos.

Marisa Gallegos graduated from Burroughs High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in English from UC Berkeley and her law degree from USC Law School. She is an attorney with the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office.

The groom is the son of Teresa Acosta of Sonoma and the late Mariminio Acosta. He attended Pasadena Adult School and is executive chef at 38 Degrees in Alhambra.

The couple honeymooned in Pismo Beach and live in Burbank.
