Man arrested after apparent hit-and-run

A man was arrested Thursday afternoon after he allegedly fled the scene of a car crash in Burbank, police officials said.

The man, whose identity was not immediately released, was driving around 5:40 p.m. in the area of Lake Street and Verdugo Boulevard when his car hit a parked vehicle, said Burbank Police Lt. Eric Deroian.

He fled the scene, leaving behind a female passenger in the vehicle, Deroian said.

Officers were able to find the man and arrested him on suspicion of hit and run.

Paramedics were called to the scene, but the man refused treatment and was uncooperative with police, Deroian said.
