Man struck, killed by car while jaywalking identified

A pedestrian who died Sunday night after being struck by a car while jaywalking has been identified as a 53-year-old Maywood man, police said.

Brad Hensley was crossing the street in the 2600 block of Olive Avenue around 10 p.m. when he was struck by a passing car, according to Burbank Police Lt. Eddie Ruiz.

Hensley, who was reportedly not in a crosswalk when he was hit, was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The motorist, a 60-year-old Burbank man, was released after being interviewed by police.

There was no indication that alcohol was involved, said Burbank Police Lt. John Dilibert.
