Share

Two men were robbed at gunpoint late Wednesday night in the rear parking lot of the Burbank Community YMCA, police said.

A man — described as black, roughly 25 years old with a medium build — brandished a handgun and demanded the victims’ cellphones and wallets at around 10 p.m., said Burbank Police Sgt. Mark Stohl. He was wearing a sweatshirt and baggy pants.

The suspect took roughly $1,000 worth of personal property from the two victims, who were 21 and 22 years old, before fleeing into a light-colored SUV waiting nearby, Stohl added.

Anyone with information about the robbery is urged to call Burbank police at (818) 238-3210.
