Glendale police are seeking help in identifying thieves who stole a fanny pack and ripped a necklace off a 64-year-old Glendale woman’s neck this week after knocking her to the ground.

The woman was walking about 9:30 p.m. Monday in the 1400 block of East Chevy Chase Drive, where two men suddenly pushed her to the ground and stole the items, including cash, Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz said.

The thieves quickly fled east on Chevy Chase.

The woman suffered minor scratches to her knees and elbows, Lorenz said.

A witness was drawn to the area after hearing her scream for help while on the ground, he said.

The woman described the men as Latinos with black hair and brown eyes, 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 9 inches tall, up to 180 pounds and between 20 and 30 years old.
