Holi, the Hindu “festival of colors,” is celebrated in the spring throughout India and Nepal. It celebrates warm weather, good harvests and the defeat of evil, bringing out millions of people to throw colorful powder at one another and play with water balloons and squirt guns. This year’s festival ran March 1-2.
