Several Florida cities recognized for affordable vacation rental homes

Room and board is a hefty part of any vacation budget, so families hoping to vacation this summer are looking to save a few bucks any way they can.

TripAdvisor recognizes the struggle to make it through a holiday trip without breaking the bank, so researchers there decided to analyze 150 vacation destinations across the country, comparing the price of two-bedroom rental vacation homes for the rest of the summer.

Of the 29 cities that were recognized for their affordability, Florida was the best represented with 12 locations on the list, including four of the top five.

Many travelers will be happy to know that the top city on the list -- averaging at $601 per week for a two-bedroom rental home -- isn’t far from Disney World, Universal and the other Central Florida theme parks.
