Silversea deals for solo travelers

Staff Reporter

Fort Lauderdale-based Silversea Cruises is offering five opportunities in 2012 for solo travelers with a single supplement that is just 10 percent above the per person, double occupancy rate, plus special perks.

Among the voyages offering a 10 percent single supplement on a Vista Suite (25 percent on a Veranda Suite) plus the added perks of a $500 Passport to Luxury Onboard Spending Credit for single travelers, included roundtrip economy airfare (from select gateways) and included transfers between airport and pier on embarkation and disembarkation days, is a Fort Lauderdale to Monte Carlo 17-day voyage on the Silver Cloud departing on March 31.

Calls include Bermuda, Funchal, Cadiz, Gibraltar, Porto Mahon and Marseille.

The voyage will feature Gentlemen Hosts as dining companions and dance partners for single ladies.

Solo Traveler fares start at $7,038 (reflecting a 60 percent Silver Savings discount). The Solo Traveler, Silver Savings and Passport to Luxury Onboard Spending Credit are capacity-controlled programs and subject to availability.

The Onboard Spending Credit is offered per suite, not per voyage, and only once to guests sailing on consecutive voyages. It is valued in U.S. dollars, regardless of booking currency. It may not be redeemed for cash, and any unused portion will be forfeited. Additional restrictions may apply.

The included roundtrip economy air package is a capacity-controlled program that includes transfers between airport and pier on the day of embarkation and disembarkation. It is available from 22 gateway cities in the U.S. and Canada.

Additionally, there are specially priced air programs available from another 50 cities. Visit
