Elisabeth Condon's painting "Cracked Actor" depicts the smoke-filled, Los Angeles nightclub scene of the early-'80s, where the Dead Kennedys and Joy Division, no doubt, spun in regular rotation. Painted from the perspective of the stage overlooking an abstract audience, Condon's work imagines the club as a metaphor for shared cultural experience. The Tampa artist's new wave- and punk-infused "The Seven Seas" exhibition opens with a reception from 6 to 9 tonight at the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood, 1650 Harrison St. $4-$10. 954-921-3274 or ArtandCultureCenter.org.
