How did Orange County vote?

Republican John Cox won Orange County in last week’s open gubernatorial primary thanks to support across the area.

Cox placed second statewide, qualifying for November’s general election. He will face Democratic Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom, who won a quarter of the votes in Orange County.

The county has been a Republican stronghold for decades, but is showing signs of turning blue.
