Application deadline for La Cañada commission and committee seats extended to April 7

The city of La Cañada Flintridge is extending its application deadline for residents interested in filling several open City Commission and Committee seats to April 7.

Three seats apiece will be vacant on the following panels effective June 1: The Planning Commission; Design Commission; Investment & Financing Advisory Committee; Parks & Recreation Commission; Public Safety Commission; and Public Works & Traffic Commission.

The city is also seeking applicants for four seats on its Youth Council, open to residents ages 14 to 19 at time of service.

Youth Council seats last two years, expiring May 31, 2016. All other appointments will last four years, expiring May 31, 2018. Members may serve no more than two consecutive four-year terms.

All applicants must be residents of La Cañada Flintridge, unless seeking the single business owner/manager seat available on the Design Commission. Applications are available at City Hall, 1327 Foothill Blvd., or they can be downloaded at www.lcf.ca.gov.

All applications must be received by the City Clerk by 5 p.m. on April 7. The City Council will conduct interviews in April and May.
