Electrical utility to host meeting

Southern California Edison (SCE) will hold a neighborhood meeting on Sept. 11 to inform residents about upcoming electrical work planned throughout La Cañada Flintridge throughout the remainder of the year.

The informational meeting will take place at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of La Cañada Presbyterian Church , 626 Foothill Blvd.

SCE and its contractors have begun preparing to make electrical upgrades to the city’s Flintridge Circuit since Aug. 25, according to a spokesman. Staff will be on hand at the meeting to explain the scope of the project in more detail and how it will affect portions of the surrounding community.

During the work, contractor crews will need access to some residential properties for the purpose of tree trimming, and several planned “maintenance outages” are scheduled to take place.
