La Cañada teen named state’s homecoming queen

La Cañada Flintridge resident Meghan Catherine Lacey on Sunday was named California’s Homecoming Queen at the 36th annual State Finals held at the Anaheim Plaza Hotel & Suites in Anaheim.

A senior at Village Christian High School in Sun Valley, Meghan was voted Homecoming Queen at her school last fall and entered the competition sponsored by America’s Homecoming Queen, Inc., a nonprofit that offers cash scholarships as prizes. As California’s Homecoming Queen, she’ll travel to Memphis, Tenn. this summer to compete with queens from around the country for the top title.

Meghan is the daughter of Patrick and Monique Lacey.
