Miss La Cañada Flintridge 2018 competition to open; interviews to begin in November

High school juniors who live within the 91011 ZIP Code and have an interest in serving on the 2018 Miss La Cañada Flintridge Royal Court are invited to apply now, according to Pat Anderson, president and chief executive of the LCF Chamber of Commerce.

Applications for the competition are available on the chamber’s website, www.lacanadaflintridge.com, in the chamber’s office at 4529 Angeles Crest Hwy., Suite 102, or by sending an email to exec@lacanadaflintridge.com.

Public-speaking ability, poise, academic achievement, youth leadership and community and high school involvement are all qualities that will be taken into consideration by the judges.

Interviews will be held the second week in November. Finalists will be notified to appear at Festival in Lights, which is taking place at 4 p.m. on Dec. 1 in Memorial Park where the five selected to become the 2018 Royal Court will be announced.

This year’s court, Miss La Cañada Flintridge Sarah Ann Settles and princesses Sara Kahn, Holly Stoner, Julie Lauenstein and Reagan Meyers will relinquish their tiaras to the new court at the Chamber’s 106th gala dinner installation on Jan. 25. The new Miss LCF will receive a $500 scholarship, and her court members will each receive a $250 scholarship, along with gifts from area merchants.
