Registration underway for Assistance League summer school classes

Registration is currently underway for Summer School 2016 offered in La Cañada by Assistance League of Flintridge for students in grades one through eight.

Information about the enrichment courses can be found online at ALFlintridge.org, where registration is taken on a first-come, first-served basis. According to organizers, many of the most popular classes are already filling up, so parents and students are encouraged to sign up soon.

Classes will meet from June 13 through July 15, with a day off on Monday, July 4, for the Independence Day holiday. Summer School for students in grades one through six will be held at La Cañada Elementary School from 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.; classes for those in grades seven and eight will be held from 8:20 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the La Cañada High School campus.

The program fee for each class is $175; up to three classes may be taken by a student.

This is the 38th year the Assistance League of Flintridge has offered a summer school program in La Cañada. Co-chairing the program this year are ALF members Becky Gelhaar and Sarah Richter.
